Creating your own portfolio.
This post shows the importance of creating your portfolio soon as possible.
I used to work more than the average developer, but I was always seeking to understand a new tool, to make some code into perfection, to try every piece of the quality chain possible. But all my work has always been private.
It took me time to lose the fear of showing my work to the world. This is an irrational fear after all. I want to thank my friends that insisted with me.
As a developer in general, you should be cautious about being a perfectionist. I was always dreaming about having the best blog, and then I just realized that almost every Fullstack Developer out there has simple blogs. They don't waste their time trying to get into perfection. They just be.
In the end, let it be also. You are who you are. New opportunities will arise to improve your portfolio. Do it as soon as possible.
In the last weeks, I was looking for a job and I got surprised about people asking for my portfolio and website. You're correct, Mrs. Recruiter, let's build a website and a portfolio as well.
